As a clinic coder, you will be responsible for timely analyzing all clinical medical records and accurately assign ICD-10-CM and procedure (CPT) codes according to current AMA guidelines. Position will query providers for clarification when conflicting or ambiguous documentation is present in chart, assist with answering incoming phone calls, occasionally assist in releasing protected health information according to HIPAA policy, and other tasks as assigned.

Experience using an encoder (preferred).
Experience using an electronic medical record (preferred).
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
MUST HAVE COVID VACCINE
At least one of the following credentials:
· Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
· Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
· Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
· Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
· Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
High school diploma or equivalent.
